The New Game

A few months ago I saw a deck called Hunger Games using Caïssas and Deep Red in Apex. I super, super fell in love with it. This version, unfortunately, can’t fit the e3 Feedback implants, but I think it’ll be worth it.

Bio-Modeled Network is more of a support card than something that enables a particular combo or play style, so I tried to think of what sort of decks would be heavily crippled by a hand-wipe net damage packet. Apex normally has Heartbeat, so he can deal with it, but since we’re running Caïssas, we need other ways to protect against damage.

Plus, since I’m using Faust, something like Neural Katana or Snare is unlikely to kill us, and cards like Chetana and Psychic Field won’t completely wipe us out. We’re still super hurt by Komainu, though. If you’re expecting to play against Jinteki (and who isn’t expecting that these days?), I’d probably suggest dropping a Pawn for a Mimic or one Knight for an MKUltra.

It’s pretty straightforward though. Install cards, trash cards to draw cards and make money, trash problem ICE with Prey, and eventually Apocalypse. Remember that trashing your Pawns for their ability triggers Wasteland and Reaver if you haven’t already used Chop Bot that turn.

Time to go devour some digital worlds!
